REAKTUALISASI EMPATI MELALUI TAFSIR NUSANTARA: MENYEMBUHKAN LUKA HUMANISME DI TANAH INTELEKTUAL INDONESIA
Abstrak
Abstract
This paper discusses the phenomenon of empathy desensitization as a form of humanism crisis that has emerged in the digital age, particularly in academic circles, which should be the center for the formation of human values. This problem is evident in the increasing number of cases of bullying, hate speech, and loss of social sensitivity in schools, campuses, and Islamic boarding schools. To examine this issue, this study uses a qualitative content analysis method with a literature approach through literature searches, online news, and Nusantara interpretive works such as Tafsir Al-Mishbah, Tafsir Al-Azhar, and Marah Labid. The results show that dehumanization in intellectual spaces is triggered by a competitive culture, digital anonymity, and weak internalization of social ethics, resulting in individuals who are cognitively superior but lack empathy. Through a reading of Nusantara interpretations, it was found that the values of the Qur'an, which are rooted in local cultural traditions, offer a model for reconstructing care and empathy as the basis for social relations. This study provides theoretical and practical benefits in the form of strengthening the educational paradigm that combines intellectual intelligence and human spirituality, as well as recommendations for revitalizing the value of empathy in the curriculum and academic culture. Thus, the Nusantara interpretation can become an epistemology that heals the wounds of humanism amid the challenges of today's digital dehumanization.
