Abstrak

Abstract

The people of Jember, who are very religious, always uphold religious activities, and perhaps many of their religious practices still have cultural elements. This paper wants to write about the interaction of Al-Qur’an culture and local traditions in the context of singing the Koran in Jember Regency. This paper will examine at least two important things, first, what is the concept of reciting the Koran on the mat in Jember Regency and what special letters are read? and its relevance to the cultural interaction of the Koran and local traditions? using qualitative research methods, and data collection methods using interview observation and documentation to first read the concept of tilam ngaji in Jember Regency and what specific letters are read and secondly its  relevance to the cultural interaction of the Al-Qur’an and local traditions is explained with content analysis, then The results of this paper are first to know the concept of reciting the Koran on the mat in Jember Regency and what special letters are read and secondly its relevance to the cultural interaction of the Al-Qur’an and local traditions.
