Abstract
This study examines Muslims' neglect of the scientific aspects of the Qur'an, especially the verses discussing mountains. Often the focus is only on faith and jurisprudence so that the symbolic meaning contained in the verses is ignored. Through a qualitative approach and library study, this study collected data from the Qur'an and scientific literature to explore the deep meaning of mountains as a symbol of the stability and power of nature. The results of the study show that mountains function as "earth stakes" that maintain ecological balance and reflect the greatness of Allah. Verses such as Surah An-Nahl and Al-Gasyiyah invite people to reflect on God's power. In addition, the depiction of the destruction of mountains on the Day of Judgment reminds people of the transitory nature of the world. The interpretations of scholars from classical to contemporary strengthen the relevance of these verses in scientific and spiritual contexts. In conclusion, a deeper understanding of the verses about mountains can increase appreciation of nature and strengthen faith in Allah SWT. This study is expected to enrich the treasury of interpretation and encourage people to appreciate science more in the context of religion.
